On a recent visit to Canberra, Sarah and I had the opportunity to eat at the Waters Edge restaurant. We had heard that it was serving some excellent food, so the chance to try it for ourselves was not to be missed. We are pleased to report that the restaurant did meet and exceeded our expectations.

Sarah started with Ravioli of Prawns with Its Own Sauce and I started with Salad of Pork Belly, Pan Seared Black Pudding and Scallops with Apple Mayonnaise. Sarah's starter was perfect, well balanced and not heavy. Mine was a bit disappointing; with the pork being a bit too dry for my liking.

For mains, Sarah had the Roast Fillet of Barramundi, Creamed Leeks, Scallops and Red Wine Sauce. My main was Roast Rump of Lamb, Mediterranean Vegetables with Tarragon Jus. Both mains were excellent, confirming their reputation as one of Canberra's best restaurant. After enjoying such lovely mains, we were only able to share a Warm Apple Tart with Caramel Ice-Cream.

We certainly recommend the Waters Edge to anyone looking for some excellent food, served in a beautiful setting.
