The Lots Road Pub and Dining Room is one of those places that are just great to go to. It is a not overly formal, but you would feel comfortable turning up in your Sunday best to rub shoulders with the locals. As to the food, we are so glad that we have found a place that has been consistent over the interval of 12 months from our previous visit.

So, what about the food? Well, as I have alluded to the quality of the food was very good! We as so pleased, as how many times we visit restaurants a second time to discover that the standards have slipped.

So, what about the food this time around? Well, Sarah started with a Potted Crab. Very simple, very tasty and really enjoyable is how it was described. My starter was Grilled Sardines. Just grilled with garlic and oil, they were delicious. For our mains, Sarah had Pan Fried Salmon with a Shrimp base and Spinach and Artichokes. An unusual, but tasty combination of flavours. My main was a perfectly cooked steak on the bone. I asked for blue and that is what got. Perfect in taste and perfect in its cooking.

So, we do rate the Lots Road Pub and Dining Room very highly. Our waitress, Rosemary, added to the experience, being professional without being over the top. She certainly made the whole visit far more pleasant.
