Bacon Wrapped Prawns
These prawns are simple to make but really tasty. These make a great canapés and starters or serve them as a main accompanied with other shellfish or a little salad or pasta.
Portions: 6 as a starter or 4 as a main

Cooking: 5 minutes
Ingredients
Prawns
- 24 large prawns, peeled and deviened (tails left on)
- 12 rashers of rindless, sliced in half
- freshly ground black pepper
To Serve
- creme fraiche or sour cream
- mango chutney (optional)
Method
- Prawns: Preheat a grill to high. Season the prawns with a little pepper and wrap them tightly in the bacon rashers. Place the prawns on a grill pan covered in foil and place them under a hot grill. Cook the prawns for 2-3 minutes then turn them over and grill for a further 2-3 minutes. Serve or keep warm until ready to serve.
- To Serve: Serve the prawns with a creme fraiche or sour cream and mango chutney (optional).
